Kitten Season!

When the weather warms and the flowers bloom, it can only mean one thing--kitten season has arrived! "Kitten season" refers to the time of year when animal shelters intake high volumes of kittens, particularly "neonates," or kittens under eight weeks old. For east Tennessee, kitten season takes place from late spring through early fall. Each kitten season, YWAC takes in hundreds of young kittens who are cared for by our fantastic team of foster parents until they are ready for adoption. And just like any baby, kittens need a lot of care and support. That is why YWAC will be hosting our second annual virtual "kitten shower"to help raise donations in support of our foster program!

Throughout the month of April, you can visit our websiteto learn more about kitten season and find out ways you can support our foster program and the many, many kittens they will provide life-saving care to this year. And be sure to check out our special kitten shower wishlist on Amazon for an easy way to provide frequently used items to our incredible network of foster parents. In addition, I'll be sending occasional updates via email and sharing some exciting kitten-related content over the next few weeks, so stay tuned for some kitten cuteness!

Interested in fostering this kitten season? Visit our website to learn more about fostering with YWAC, and be sure to tune in to our virtual Foster Town Hall: Kitten 101 this Saturday, April 10th at 5pm to learn more about fostering and kitten care .
